Approach
I design and make all sorts of "Beautiful Bedrooms and Stylish Storage" as well as unique pieces such as tables, desks and TV units. Everything is individually designed and made to measure, so I'm often asked to work around horrible eyesores, such as boilers, meters, pipes, chimney-breasts and turn these into highlights in the room.
The materials I work with range from solid wood, veneers, an exciting new self-coloured premium board called Vachromat, and vinyl and foil coated boards.
Everything is made by me in my workshop and the larger pieces are brought (drilled, jointed and trimmed) flat-packed to site for final assembly with the minimum of dust and mess. For any fitted furniture there will be a bit of trimming (scribing, we call it) of the infills to the walls and ceiling. Any items that I have custom made for me, such as doors, will be delivered to site when I am ready for them and I will be there to receive and fit them. I try to work to my client's timescales and availability. I'm probably a good bit slower than the usual fitter, but I'm a good bit fussier about my work too!

A typical fitted bedroom (2 double wardrobes, 2 bedside cabinets, 1 chest of drawers) from any fitted bedroom specialist will be around £4,800. Yes – that’s after the 60% off, an extra 10% off and the phone call to the manager at midnight!
For the same great quality of furniture from me, including professional design and fitting the same room would be £2,875
And I can do what they won’t do:
- Take down and take away your old fitted furniture
- Make good walls, ceiling and floor
- Move sockets, switches and radiators
- Lift and refit carpets and flooring
- All packaging and mess cleaned up and taken away
